Reviving Sisterhood presents:
Muslim Women Rising! An inaugural Women's Leadership Conference
Our Keynote Speaker will be Linda Sarsour:
Linda Sarsour is a working woman, racial justice and civil rights activist, every Islamophobe’s worst nightmare, and mother of three. Ambitious, outspoken and independent, Linda shatters stereotypes of Muslim women while also treasuring her religious and ethnic heritage. She is a Palestinian Muslim American and a self-proclaimed “pure New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn!” She is the Executive Director of the Arab American Association of New York and co-founder of the first Muslim online organizing platform, MPOWER Change.
Conference also includes workshops on Networking, How to Tell Your Story, and Public Speaking.
The Conference will also host a Resource Fair including nonprofits, foundations, and other community organizations to help you find ways to plug in and develop leadership skills.
SAVE THE DATE and SPREAD THE WORD.
**Due to spatial constraints, babysitting will not be provided at this time.***
Dear allies of Muslim women, we are trying to create a safe space for Muslim women at this conference. Therefore, they will have first priority to purchase tickets. On Feb 25th, we will open up a limited amount of seats for the Keynote speech, at which time you can purchase. We all are excited to hear Linda Sarsour come to town, but need to respect the purpose of this conference: to empower Muslim women into leadership and community engagement. Thanks!
