For the Better | Event Collaborator

In 2018, the women of Jolby wanted to find a collaborative way to give back. Inspired by the unprecedented global movement for women's rights, equality and justice, we came together to produce an art show fundraiser in honor of International Women’s Day. We were blown away by the generosity, creativity, and support we encountered and greatly surpassed our donation expectations. Our community showed up and we were able to raise almost $6K that was donated to Rose Haven, a local shelter for women and children.

We felt it was important to keep showing up alongside those that share our values and who want to make a positive difference towards gender parity.

On May 11th, 2019, Jolby presented For the Better, an art show and fundraiser that highlighted Equality & Inclusion. Art will be priced to sell and all proceeds will be split 50/50 between Girls Inc. PNW & the PDX Q Center, two local organizations who are putting in the good fight for equality and inclusion every day.

The evening will be centered around 60 incredible artists, live drawings, raffles, DJ sets by DJ No.Bi.Es and DJ His Instrumental Illness, and live drag performances by Kimberly Westwood.
